This is a mix I made in 2009 which I never really promoted. I was listening to it the other day and decided with a bit of EQ and compression it could sound a lot better so I took some time to work on it. This mix has some old school favorites, some 2009 top40 hits, a bunch of wordplay and phrase matching, and even some custom mashups I made a few years ago. It's just basically a fun mix that exemplifies my style. Giving credit where it is due, I got the idea for the Johnny Kemp segue from DJ Wreckrd (who learned it from DJ Rush if I recall correctly), but I've never heard it actually done by Rush so this is 100% original, and probably not as good as he would do it. Anyway, he shouldn't mind since real DJs stick together and support each other in the SD scene.

For those with kids, the mix is 100% clean language, I consider it 'radio friendly'. There's some suggestive stuff (hot in herre?) and of course drinking ('Shots' by LMFAO was a brand new club hit when I made this) but it's nothing that wouldn't be played on the radio.

I had an incredible wedding where the ending set was all house and top40 remixes by request from the bride and groom. I had a feeling it was going to be quite a mix so I hit record in Scratch Live shortly after I began the set.

Since I planned to post an August Top40 Remix podcast and never got around to it, I decided to post this. This mix has sooo much energy, it is impossible not to want to move to this. I swear even stroke victims will be going in circles.

I put together a true Freestyle genre mix using only tracks that were available on vinyl back when we kept it real. No Funkymix, no Ultimix, no Crack4DJs, no Crooklyn Clan mask-your-skills remix services. No Fatman Scoop, no 'put your hands up'. Just pure mixing, the way it was done back when you could only say you were a DJ if you actually had skills.
